It's Ada vs. Delphos Jeff Friday night - will someone please turn out the lights in Ada on the way out of town

Ada Bulldogs face a stiff challenge on the road Friday night when they take on league foe Delphos Jefferson (8-0, 5-0). The Wildcats are currently ranked 6th in the latest Division VI AP poll. The Bulldogs still have playoff aspirations, but they'll need to win at least one of the next two in order to ensure they don't miss the post season for the first time since 2005. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

Don't forget your mask - lots of Halloween activities downtown Ada on Oct. 28

Can’t you tell Halloween is on the way? There’s lots of fall events planned near the end of the month and all you need to do is show up wearing a mask.

Here’s a list of events planned in Ada on Monday, Oct. 28:

Ada depot – 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Stop by and sample a variety of soups from local restaurants and vote for your favorite soup. Participants are:

• ONU Sodexo dining services

Oct. 34 entrepreneurial workshop focus on sales skills

The Community Economic Development Center (CEDC) at Ohio Northern University continues its entrepreneurship workshop series in the Dicke Forum on Thursday, Oct. 24. The workshop will be preceded by a networking event at 5:30 p.m. The workshop will follow the networking event and conclude at 7 p.m.

The topic of the workshop will be “‘Always Be Closing!’ Entrepreneurial Insight on the Value of Good Sales Skills, and Why They are Needed More Than Ever Today” with Rob Lydic. This event is free and open to the public.

Picture day for Ada schools is the week. Photographs of elementary students takes place on Wednesday. High school photos are taken on Thursday.

 

CRHS holiday crafts show-bake sale Nov. 16

Cory-Rawson HS cheerleading program will hold a holiday craft show and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 16, at the C-R High School. Concessions are available. All proceeds benefit the Cory-Rawson cheerleading program.

Cory-Rawson music department's bakery Bingo Nov. 2

Cory-Rawson HS’s music department will hold its first-ever bakery Bingo event from 5 to 9 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 2, at the high school’s old cafeteria, 3930 County Road 26, Rawson.

Bingo cards are $1 each and prizes are baked goods. The event also includes basket raffles and concessions.

All proceeds benefit the Cory-Rawson band, choir and show choir members with fees for the music department’s Florida spring trip.
