Liberty Township farmers and landowners opportunity for Farm Bill update

Seventy-five Hardin County farmers and landowners attended a Farm Bill Update meeting held at the Hardin County courthouse held recently, according to Mark Badertscher of the Hardin County Extension Service.

Badertscher said that the  meeting will be repeated on Wednesday, Jan. 7 at 6:30 p.m. 

Look at all the fundraising opportunities benefit music students and music boosters

The Ada Music Boosters would like to remind everyone of multiple fundraising opportunities available throughout the year.  Some require nothing more than shopping the way you already do and some are mutually beneficial to not only the Boosters, but to you as well.

Programs currently available include:
Ada Bingo - Ada Bingo continues to be a favorite Thursday night event for many Ada residents. If you haven’t been out, come try it.

Emma Kathryn Lawrence was born in Alger

Emma Kathryn Lawrence, age 93, died Sunday, December 27, 2014 at 9:30 PM at Hardin Hills Nursing Home, Kenton, Ohio.

She was born on June 30, 1921, in Alger to George and Isabel (Crane) McCreary who preceded her in death. On April 12, 1947, she married Richard C. Lawrence and he died Feb. 7, 1995.

Emma was a homemaker. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors. 

Surviving are a son, Gerald “Butch” (Sandra) Lawrence of Lima; two daughters, Becky (Earnie) England of Ada and Betty (James) Williams of Huber Heights; 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Ho! Ho! Ho! at Liberty National Bank

Library's Twinkle heads back to North Pole

A Christmas season visitor to the Ada Public Library bids farewell to patrons until next December. Twinkle, one of Santa's elves, spent the month in the library. 

Each day Twinkle found a new location to watch patrons. And now Twinkle is ready to head back to the North Pole. He made the staff brunch for his last trick.

Accoding to the library staff: "It was so nice to have him around the library; watching and listening for all the good boys and girls. Thanks to you, we made the nice list!"
