15 minus with Jonathan Wey - talking about his composition for First United Methodist

Jonathan Wey of Ohio Northern University has composed a piece titled "Unless the Lord Builds the House" for the formal dedication of the Ada First United Methodist Church on Sunday, April 12.

The 6-7 minute long piece will be sung by the church's Chancel Choir and ONU University Singers accompanied by piano and French horn. We caught up with Wey for a feature in our series "15 Minutes With."

Ohio Northern University holds panel discussion on human trafficking

Ohio Northern University will present a panel discussion on human trafficking in the McIntosh Ballroom on Wednesday, April 1, at 6:30 p.m.

The event, free and open to the public, is sponsored by the ONU Department of History, Politics and Justice; the ONU Department of Psychology, Sociology and Criminal Justice; the ONU Getty College of Arts & Sciences, the ONU Office of the President; the ONU Office of Academic Affairs; Lexis Nexis; and the ONU Student Senate.

Opera workshop ‘The Mushroom Pie’ March 27 at Snyder Hall

The Community Pharmacy Foundation has awarded the Ohio Northern University Raabe College of Pharmacy a grant to fund a “Pharmacist Provision of Preconception Care Through Medication Therapy Management (MTM)” study.

The goals of the research are to raise awareness and educate community pharmacists about preconception care and providing preconception care through MTM, and to pilot a proof-of-concept model demonstrating the impact pharmacists can have in providing elements of preconception care through a potentially sustainable reimbursement model.

Tickets available for Community Health Professionals dinner and charity auction

Community Health Professionals Hospice-Beacon of Hope dinner and charity auction tickets are on on sale.

This year's event is Thursday, April 23, in the ONU Ball Room at McIntosh Center. Dinner is at 6 p.m. The auction is at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 each.

According to Deb Curliss of Community Health Professionals, the event is an evening of fun and remembrances. There will be a live auction and a silent auction. All proceeds benefit the Visiting Nurses and Hospice services of Community Health Professionals.

Mustard Seed Cafe offers "A Tasting of Italian Wines and Pastas" March 27

Mustard Seed Café, 562 N. Main St. Bluffton, will be offering A Tasting of Italian Wines and Pasta on Friday, March 27.

In lieu of the regular menu, there will be four courses of pasta paired with four different wines.

There will be two seatings--
5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. -- and reservations are strongly suggested (567-226-1120).
