Annual Hardin Chamber-Business Alliance dinner at ONU Feb. 25

The annual dinner meeting and awards program of the Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance is from 6 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 25, at McIntosh Center on the ONU campus.

"Join us for our annual dinner meeting and awards program to recognize our award winners for Citizen of the Year, Business of the Year and Community Service Awards," said Jon Cross of the Alliance. " In addition, we will talk about the positive actions from 2015 and looking forward to 2016"

Eddings Feb. 3 L.E.A.D speaker

Women L.E.A.D. presents "The Power of Risk Taking for Women Leaders."  with guest speaker, Amy Eddings a former New York City public radio host of "All Things Considered" and now the owner of the Easter House Bed & Breakfast, Ada.

Networking for this event begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Hardin Memorial Hospital McCullough Conference Room in Kenton.

Hardin Dems committees planning Presidents' Day luncheon

Members of the Hardin County Democratic Central and Executive Committees will meet Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 7 pm. at Henry’s Restaurant, 995 N. Detroit St., Kenton, according to Don Traxler.

Final plans will be made for the Presidents' Day Luncheon and Rally to be held Saturday, Feb. 20, at noon at the Walnut Grove United Methodist Church approximately 3 miles north of Kenton on the west side of State Route 68 at the intersection with Township Road 80.

The 5th annual Polar Plunge will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13, at polar bear pond which is in the middle of Fraternity Circle. (Our photo is from last year's Plunge.)

Sponsored by Delta Sigma Phi fraternity, the proceeds from the event go to the American Red Cross.
