At the end of the day ONU earned the Joe Banks trophy

What looks like a 10-ring circus or total chaos is actually a well organized event. It's the Joe Banks Invitational held at the Sports Center on Saturday.

ONU won among the 15 teams!

Hundreds of competitors and officials were on hand for the indoor track and field events from 11 a.m. until early evening.

While weight throw was going on in one corner, sprinters were running the track, and pole vaulters were headed skyward in the middle of the Sports Center.

Linda Dudgeon 1950-2016

Linda D. Dudgeon, 65, died on Monday, Feb. 8, 2016 at 10:10 a.m. at her son’s residence in Ada.

She was born on Dec. 1, 1950 in Lima, Ohio, to Roger I. and Darlene (Fitzpatrick) Tarr. Her father preceded her in death and her mother survives in Ada.  On June 11, 1971, she married Michael D. Dudgeon and he survives in Ada.

Linda previously worked as a receptionist for Dr. Shull, DDS.

Also surviving is a son, Rod (Brooke) Dudgeon of Ada; three grandchildren: Lori, Brady and Kenzie; and two sisters: Marilyn (Gary) Nelson of Lima and Carol (Victor) Jones of Ada.

Pianist Jeong-In Kim performs in Presser Hall Feb. 15

 The Ohio Northern University Department of Music will present guest pianist Jeong-In Kim at the Snyder Recital Hall in Presser Hall on Monday, Feb. 15, at 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

One of 10 pianists to perform at the 2014 Emil Gileles Foundation Festival in Freiburg, Germany, Jeong-In enjoys a rising career as both a solo and collaborative pianist performing throughout the U.S., South Korea, China, Italy, Canada and Germany.

Two faculty elected to American Health System Pharmacists House of Delegates

Two Ohio Northern University Raabe College of Pharmacy faculty members and one ONU alumnus were voted to the 2016 American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) House of Delegates.

Dale English II, who graduated from ONU with a Bachelor of Science in 1993 and a Doctor of Pharmacy in 2005, and Mary Ellen Hethcox, director of ONU’s Drug and Health Information Center and assistant professor of pharmacy, were elected junior delegates to serve two-year terms.

Karen Kier, a 1982 ONU graduate and ONU professor of clinical pharmacy and director of assessment, returns as a senior delegate to complete her term.
