Here's the first report of the year from Hardin County Hootenannies

The first meeting of the Hardin Co Hootenannies was held at Faith Holbrook's farm. She had five new baby goats to let the members enjoy. 

The members guessed on which doe would deliver her kids next.  Winners were Riley Fleece -first; Seth Davis and Faith - second.  Parents, visitors, and advisors that won were: Billie Mizek and Jason Fleece - first;  Ray Davis, Grant and Carter Mizek - second.

President Isaac Davis opened the meeting and asked Sean Hurley to lead the pledge to the American Flag and Seth Davis to lead in the 4-H pledge.  We welcomed Elisha Lowery to our club. 

Homemakers make plans for “Color Me Spring” Spring Achievement Day

The Hardin County Homemakers Council announced their annual Spring Achievement Day and Cultural Arts Show will be Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge, 801 Lima St, Kenton. The theme this year is “Color Me Spring.”

ONU professor next L.E.A.D. speaker

Alisa Agozzino, assistant professor of public relations at Ohio Northern University, is the next speaker in the 2016 Women L.E.A.D. Speaker Series.

She will present "How to Optimize your Social Media Presence," during a ONU Dicke Forum, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 30.

Dr. Agozzino's main research lies in social media tools within the public relations field.

Blanchard Valley Hospital named one of nation's top 100

Blanchard Valley Hospital (BVH) was today named one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals by Truven Health AnalyticsTM. This is the fourth time Blanchard Valley Hospital has been recognized with this honor, which has been awarded to BVH in 2005, 2011, 2015 and now 2016.

Truven Health Analytics identified the 100 top U.S. hospitals based on their overall organizational performance. The study found that the top performing hospitals in the country were able to improve outcomes while reducing overall expense per patient.

HealthWise residency program receives grant

The Ohio Northern University HealthWise residency program has received an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Foundation Pharmacy Residency Expansion Grant for the 2016-17 residency year.
