Bulldog football shuts out Jefferson

The Ada High School football team got back on the winning track by shutting out host Delphos Jefferson 28-0 in a Northwest Conference blowout Friday night, September 29.

The Bulldogs raced to a 21-0 halftime lead and cruised to the convincing road victory as the defense recorded its first shutout in six seasons.

Ada improved to 3-4 overall and 1-3 in the NWC with their initial league win. 

Struggling DJ dropped to 0-7 overall and 0-4 in the NWC after the defeat.

Bulldog golfers 10th at sectional meet

The Ada High School golf team concluded its season by playing in the 11-team Div. III sectional tournament at Sycamore Springs Golf Course in Arlington Thursday morning, September 28.

Arcadia won a tight sectional tournament title race with 347 strokes. Pandora-Gilboa took a close second at 349, followed by Carey in third at 351.

The Bulldogs totaled 418 strokes to finish 10th, ahead of last-place Arlington.

The Ada High School volleyball team handily defeated visiting Delphos Jefferson in three sets to seize a Northwest Conference victory Thursday evening, September 28.

The Bulldogs improved to 10-8 overall and 2-4 in the NWC with the convincing 25-11, 25-21, 25-19 victory. The win also snapped their four-match losing skid.

The Ada High School boys soccer team battled visiting Cory-Rawson to a dramatic 1-1 draw on Wednesday, September 27, at War Memorial Stadium in a North Central Ohio Soccer Association match played during a light rain.

The Bulldog records are 2-5-5 overall and 0-0-4 in NCOSA play following their fourth consecutive league tie.

Marshall sets goal record with hat trick

The Ada High School girls soccer team scored early and cruised to a 6-0 win over visiting Cory-Rawson in a North Central Ohio Soccer Association mismatch Wednesday, September 27, on Senior Night at War Memorial Stadium.

Bulldog senior Ella Marshall netted three goals to extend her program career record to 47.

With the hat trick she also broke her own Ada season mark for goals with 18, surpassing her record of 16 set last year.

Senior passing ace Olivia Burkhart netted two goals, and junior Lexi Poling added the other goal. 

With the dominating win, Ada improved to 6-3-2 overall and 2-1-1 in NCOSA action.

Bulldog girls soccer loss in Bluffton

The Ada High School girls soccer team lost a defensive 2-0 battle at rival Bluffton in a key Northwest Conference match Tuesday evening, September 26, at Steinmetz Field.

The first-place Pirate girls improved to 8-4-1 overall and 5-0 in NWC play with the crucial win.
