Four ONU women named to Academic All-District At-Large Team

ADA __ Ohio Northern fifth-year senior fifth-year senior Elizabeth Graham (Dayton/Carroll), seniors Grace Honigford (West Chester/Lakota East) and Gabby Monastra (Wooster) and sophomore Rylie Kocik (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) were named to the 2024 Women's Academic All-District At-Large Team by College Sports Communicators.

Graham, Kocik and Monastra are members of the ONU women's lacrosse team, and Honigford is a Polar Bear golfer.

To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, each student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 GPA and met the participation requirements of their respective sports.

In lacrosse, student/athletes must have either played in at least 90 percent of his team's competitions or started 66 percent of them. In golf, the student/athlete must have competed in at least 70 percent of the team's scoring events.

The CSC's at-large sports include beach volleyball, bowling, crew/rowing, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing and water polo.

GRAHAM
Graham was named Honorable Mention All-Ohio Athletic Conference and is a two-time Academic All-OAC honoree.

She led the team in scoring this season with 46 goals and was second with 55 points while starting 16 games on attack.

In her three seasons at Ohio Northern, Graham ranks second all-time in ONU history with 134 points, is fourth with 91 goals and is second with 43 assists.

Graham is majoring in exercise physiology.

HONIGFORD
Honigford has rewritten the record books and now holds every record within the program in her four seasons on the women's golf team.

A mechanical engineering major, she was named Ohio Northern's Female winner of the prestigious Clyde Lamb Award, given annually to the top male and female student-athletes of each of the 10 OAC schools.

She also guided the Polar Bears to a pair of Ohio Athletic Conference Championships titles and NCAA Championships appearances.

Honigford is a three-time OAC Championships Medalist, is a four-time All-OAC honoree and is a three-time Academic All-OAC honoree.

She was a Second Team CSC Academic At-Large All-American and All-District honoree in 2023.

This season, Honigford set the school's 18-, 36-, 54- and 72-hole school records with totals of 68, 143, 223 and 300, respectively.

She also had a school record 75.5 stroke average over a school record 27 rounds this season.

Her career average of 77.9 is also a school record.

Honigford is majoring in mechanical engineering.

MONASTRA
Monastra is an All-OAC Honorable Mention selection on defense in 2023, is a two-time Academic All-District honoree and has been named Academic All-OAC three times. The pharmacy major started all 17 games and tallied 29 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers in 2024.

In 61 career games with 39 starts at ONU, Monastra has 13 points on 11 goals and two assists to go with 68 ground balls, 25 caused turnovers and nine draw controls.

Monastra is majoring in pharmacy.

KOCIK
Kocik is an Academic All-OAC honoree on attack.

This season, she led the team with 57 points on 38 goals and 19 assists while starting 14 games.

She will enter her junior year with 92 points in 68 goals and 24 assists in 25 career games. She also has 44 ground balls and 23 caused turnovers.

Kocik is majoring in marketing.
