AHS girls soccer 4-0 loss to C-G

COLUMBUS GROVE--The Ada High School girls soccer team lost 4-0 at league leader Columbus Grove in a Northewest Conference match Monday night, September 19.

The Ada record dropped to 4-4 overall and 0-2 in the NWC with the defeat. CG improved to 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the NWC to stay atop the league standings.

Junior Katie Sizemore made 24 saves in goal for Ada.

The Ada girls (0-2 NCOSA) host Upper Sandusky (3-2-1, 1-1 NCOSA) Thursday at 5 p.m.

Final Grandview public meeting September 27

The Village of Ada has announced a public meeting for the Grandview Boulevard Reconstruction Project at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27.

The event will be held at the Community Health Professionals Building, 1200 S. Main Street.

$2.1M project funding breakdown:

OPWC Grant $500K
OPWC Loan $750K
Assessment $200K
Village Share $705K

Advertising for bids is scheduled to begin on September 22; construction is anticipated to begin April-May 2023; and construction is expected to be completed in October 2023.

Levy proposal introduced by Ada-Liberty Joint Ambulance District

**CORRECTIONS 9.18.22 regarding training and benefits

On Monday, September 12, the Ada-Liberty Joint Ambulance District held a public meeting to introduce plans to put an additional property tax on the November 8 ballot. The increased funding would ensure adequate EMS staffing throughout the day and later develop accomodations for EMTs who need to sleep at the station.

AHS volleyball 3rd at C-R Invitational

RAWSON--The Ada High School varsity volleyball team finished a strong third  at the eight-team Cory-Rawson Invitational competition Saturday, September 17.

The Lady Bulldog season record improved to 9-5 after winning two of their three matches at Cory.

In the first round, Ada beat North Baltimore 25-20, 25-22.
