Eli Garmon, Ada High School grad, recently participated in the University of Findlay Concert-Chorale and University Singers fall choir concert, "Feel the Spirit." The concert was livestreamed via UFTV's YouTube channel. The link for the performance is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_hg51qu99M.
The featured piece, "Feel the Spirit," is a set of spiritual songs arranged by John Rutter. The performance was conducted by SeaHwa Jung, director of choral activities and assistant professor of music at UF.

Three Ohio Northern alumni received awards at this year’s Findlay Art League fall juried show. Photos of the three artist's work are at the bottom of this story.
Ed Corle (BFA ’78), received a third place, with his “Serving Bowl” in ceramic.
Harry Melroy (BA ’72), received a merit award, with his “Sisters of the Magic Meadow,” acrylic painting.
Laura Barnhart Corle (BFA ’77), received an honorable mention, with her“Red Fertilizer Truck,” water color/gouache.

Brevin Sizemore, Ada High School senior, is the Mid-Ohio Energy Cooperative Ada November student of the month.

Campaign to increase awareness and raise money for CF • fundraiser this week

Twin sisters Andrea and Alyson Hoffman, current sophomores attending Ohio Northern University, both suffer from cystic fibrosis (CF).
Andrea and Alyson make it a priority to take daily steps in order to live long and healthy lives. Their goal is to have CF no longer stand for cystic fibrosis but rather cure found.
On Nov. 5, at 8 p.m., Andrea and Alyson will be giving a presentation through Google Meet. The purpose of the presentation is to teach the importance of exercise as a treatment for CF.

Two Upper Scioto Valley High School seniors are the October Kenton Elks Lodge 157 USV’s teenagers of the month.
Students from each school in Hardin County are recognized each month. This is the first group of students recognized for 2020-2021 school year by the Elks.
Allison Moore is a library assistant, home health care aide, owns a business “Yards and Moore.” She participates in Girl Scouts, Jumbo Junior Farmers 4-H, served on the Hardin County Junior Fair board in 2019-20 and received the 110% Award in 2020. She is the reigning Hardin County Junior Fair queen, 2020 girl state rep and 2019 Hardin County Junior Fair poultry queen.
