What year are you at Ada High School?
I’m a senior.

What are your plans after high school?
I’ve been accepted at Ohio State University, Columbus. I plan to double major in psychology and criminal justice studies. After college I want to obtain a master’s and then a doctorate. I hope to attend John Jay College of Criminal Studies for those degrees. So, I’d like to become a forensic psychologist.

Is that what you wanted to be when you were little?
No, I wanted to be a doctor, but then in high school I received terrible grades in math and science.

Previte guest speaker to Bluffton Lions - talks about Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act

Ada resident Peter Previte was guest speaker at the Bluffton Lions Club earlier this month. Previte provided a brief history of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.

He also addressed the evolution of laws to make food, drugs and cosmetics safer, as he reviewed the years of patent medicine that contained alcohol, narcotics and similar ingredients.

Previte told the Bluffton audience about the many regulative laws enacted by Congress over the years and the affect each has had on the country. One of those laws mentioned resulted in a major improvement in product labeling and information.

Ada HS spring musical will lead down the Yellow Brick Road

We don’t know if Justin England has ever been to Kansas, but he and the Ada High School cast of “The Wizard of Oz” plan a trip there in May. They will take you with them.

This spring’s Ada HS musical is “The Wizard of Oz.” Justin, an Ada junior, was recently cast in the role of the wizard. No, the production won’t be performed in the State of Kansas  –  you’ll have to pretend that  – instead it will be in the Ada school auditorium.

This is Justin’s third role in an Ada  HS drama production. He was a member of the cast of “Lagoon” as an eighth grader and “A Haunting We Will Go,” as a sophomore.
