Kiwanis members get update on Lima I-75 construction

President Myrna McCurdy called the weekly of the Ada Kiwanis Club to order on Tuesday June 18,  at 12:01 p.m. in McIntosh Center, ONU.

The invocation was offered by Jon Umphress.

The following guests were introduced: Scott Mullens, Rhonda Pees and Dr. Bruce Burton.

The membership anniversary of member Brian Myers (June 22, 2004) was noted.

Jon and Sue Umphress were congratulated on their 42nd wedding anniversary June 20th.

Kiwanis Club hears from Key Leaders Shelby Hazelton and Mackenzie Wills

President Myrna McCurdy called the weekly meeting of the Ada Kiwanis Club to order on Tuesday, June 11 at noon at McIntosh Center, ONU.

Jaime & McCormick Wills, Shelby Hazelton & Mackenzie Wills were welcomed as guests.

The birthday of Jeff Schulman (June 17) was noted.

Harold is warmly welcomed after a winter in Florida and he announced that he has a new granddaughter.

Hardin County Hootenannies 4-H report

Megan Williams, our vice-president, was acting president at the last Hardin Co Hootenannies 4-H meeting.  Preston Brien led the American flag pledge and Seth Davis led the 4-H pledge.  There were 10 members present.  Old business was the goat clinic to be held at Cromer's on Aug 4th .  We talked about the fishing derby at Russ Cahill's pond on last Tuesday.

Dillon and Levi Beiler agreed to help with a community project on Monday evening and Preston Brien and Landyn Hijma will join them on Wednesday to help.

Prasher named Ohio Northern University’s director of alumni relations

Sarah N. Prasher has been named Ohio Northern University’s director of alumni relations, effective June 1. Prasher, who has served as associate director of alumni relations since 2010, replaces Ann Donnelly Hamilton, who has been appointed executive assistant to the president.

j“I feel very honored about my new position, and I am excited about continuing my relationships with the outstanding ONU alumni and friends.” Prasher said. “I would like to thank Ann Donnelly Hamilton for all of her support and hope to maintain the high standard she has set for this office."

Blanchard Pleasant Buckeyes Report

The Blanchard Pleasant Buckeyes held their 5th meeting on Mnday, June 3 from 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m.  Grant Hites brought the meeting to order with Paytin Pore leading the 4-h pledge and Grant Hites leading the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call included 47 members, 10 advisors, and 7 guests.

This meeting was the Quality Assurance meeting where all livestock members were present. Non-livestock members had a project study session. The focal point of this meeting was watering your animals.
