Hello!  My name is Anney Archer. I am 14 years old. I am a member of Ada Barnyard Farmers 4-H club.

Last year I took Sundresses and Jumpers. In this project I had to sew a sundress or jumper.  I chose a sundress and I even had to learn how to put ribbon, as a trim, on my sundress.

I also had to learn how to put in a zipper. That was even a first for my mom, too. I really liked the extra time I got to spend with my mom. From shopping for material and accessories, to the time we got to spend sewing my dress.

The Jumbo Jr. Farmers met at 7 p.m. on April 14, at the McDonald Township Hall.  There were 12 members in attendance and 10 guests present.

The 4-H pledge was led by Isaac Smith and the Pledge of Allegiance by Drew Hoppe.  The role of members was taken by the members answering their favorite activity to do in the summer.

The committee reports included a treasurer and secretary reports. The members shared specific goals they
had for this years projects.  The upcoming meeting calendar was shared for meetings to be held on Wednesday evenings at 7:00. The advisors shared upcoming events including Quality Assurance training on May 28.

“If I retired, I’d have a weed-free yard,” exclaims Mark Shull, whose dentistry practice has been a part of Main Street in Ada since 1962.

Mark has absolutely no plans to retire, though. Ask him how he got started in dentistry and he laughs and then relates the events. “Well my birthday is on Halloween so I started school at age 5 and then entered college at age 17.”

Mark began as a pre-pharmacy student at Capital University in Bexley, Ohio, but after the first semester decided he was then terrible at math so he changed to pre-med with a chemistry minor.
