ONU Associate Professor Emerita Judith Greavu's work accepted in midwest show

She was associate professor in the department of art & design from 1985–2005

Ohio Northern Associate Professor Emerita Judith Greavu had one of her art pieces curated into the exhibition, “100x100 | 100 Sculptors, 100 Sculptures: A Survey of Contemporary Sculpture from the Midwest” at The Ella Sharp Museum in Michigan.

The 100 Sculptors, 100 Sculptures show is the third installment of a 30-year project for curator Ken Thompson in which he undertook a comprehensive look at sculpture being made at this time in the Midwest. The premise for this exhibit was to seek out a diverse group of 100 sculptors that represented as many approaches to sculpture as possible.

ONU art professor's works in Bluffton University gallery show

Emily Jay has 34 photographs on exhibition

By Monty Siekerman
Ohio Northern University Art Professor Emily Jay points to a plaster mold of her feet that she photographed to show how landscape affects us. How does this photo show landscape with no trees, mountains, or oceans?

Emily explained that she buried the plaster molds in the dirt in Norway. Upon digging them up a month later, she discovered them cracked, moldy, and slimy...thus, the terrain and weather in Norway affected her molds.

This is just one of 34 photographs on display in the Bluffton University Sauder Visual Arts Center's Grace Albrecht Gallery on Spring Street.
