Asks groups not to congregate on campus and follow CDC guidelines

Ohio Northern University shares guidance on using campus outdoor facilities with community during stay-at-home order

Under Gov. DeWine’s Stay-at-Home Order, residents are encouraged to get outside for exercise and fresh air.

If families use campus resources for this purpose (the Green Monster and other walkways), it is permitted to stay together with members of your family, but please stay a minimum of six feet from anyone else. Please see further details and expectations below.

Ohio Northern University asks groups not to congregate on campus and follow CDC guidelines.

University VITA program continues to serve clients

VITA program offers free tax help to persons who generally make $55,000 or less who need assistance in preparing returns

In accordance with coronavirus precautions, Ohio Northern University has closed buildings to the public and transitioned to remote instruction, with most students returning to their homes.

The university’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program continues to serve clients, but preparing and reviewing returns have necessarily slowed down.

If your returns have already been prepared, they will be reviewed as soon as possible, and someone will be in touch with you to confirm.

If you have not yet had your returns prepared, there are two ways ONU VITA can still help.

All ONU instruction moved into alternative, remote delivery mode, including labs

Students will move out of the residence halls by Sunday, March 22, at 5 p.m

The following is from the Ohio Northern University website:
The University is monitoring the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation state-wide and preparing for any potential impact to campus.

We continue to monitor the outbreak and remain in close contact with local and state officials in order to do what is best for the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff.

Effective immediately, the University will take these additional actions:

After considering new information presented in the past few days, we have made the difficult decision to extend remote education for the rest of the semester.

ONU moves to virtual instruction

Starting on Monday, March 16, ONU is suspending all face-to-face instruction, with the exception of laboratory sessions, until April 17.

The following announcement is on the Ohio Northern University website:

Ohio Northern University is monitoring the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation state-wide and preparing for any potential impact to campus.

ONU creates COVID-19 task force

Also has website for information and updates to campus community

Ohio Northern University has created a taskforce to address issues around the COVID-19 crisis that could impact the on-going operations of the university, according to Amy Prigge, executive director of the office of communications and marketing.

The taskforce is meeting and planning for the unlikely event of a local outbreak of COVID-19. The taskforce includes several members of the president’s cabinet, and leaders of operational units across campus.

ONU has also created a website for information and updates for the campus community concerning COVID-19 and campus safety,
