All I Have to Do Is Dream

The Everly Brothers released their hit single “All I Have to Do Is Dream” in 1958.  This followed their 1957 hit “Wake Up Little Susie.” The songs were written by the prolific duo of Felice and Boudleaux Bryant.  The legendary Chet Atkins played the guitar for The Everly Brothers on both singles. The Everly Brothers were known as an American rock duo and as pioneers of country rock.  

Ohio Northern GLOW 5K Run/Walk during National Suicide Prevention and Awareness Week

Ohio Northern University's Mental Health Prevention and Awareness Committee is hosting its first GLOW 5K Run/Walk on campus during National Suicide Prevention and Awareness Week.

Join us on Sept 8 at 8 p.m. near King Horn Sports Center. The first 50 participants who register will receive an ONU Mental Health Prevention and Awareness water bottle and towel.

ONU student-faculty special study project teaches "pedalgogy"

As STEM educators everywhere seek ways to make math and physics accessible to young learners, a special project at Ohio Northern University turned to a child’s wheeled buddy—the bicycle—to teach elementary-school students about concepts like leverage and rotational inertia.

Pearls of wisdom

The idiom “pearls of wisdom” means something sounds wise or helpful.  Amazingly, there is a website with a list of 86 songs giving life advice. The site recommends using this list to create a playlist for someone special especially for life events such as birthdays. The number one song on the list by The Rolling Stones is “You Can’t Always Get What You Want.” The author feels the lyrics touch on tempering optimism with a dose of reality.  

Brant provides Dobbs decision background and potential on The Journal

Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law law professor Joanne Brant, JD, recently appeared on the half-hour BGSU-TV program The Journal with host Steve Kendall. Brant and Kendall discuss the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent ruling in favor of the state of Mississippi in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which has returned jurisdiction of abortion to the states.

Hudmon is 2022 Kappa Epsilon Career Achievement recipient

Karen S. Hudmon, Ohio Northern University class of '86, DrPH, MS, BSPharm, CTTS, FAPhA has been awarded the 2022 Kappa Epsilon Professional Fraternity Career Achievement Award.

The Career Achievement Award was created in 1965 to honor a KE member for their professional accomplishments.
