FROM ONU WEBSITE - It’s repeating the answer to an elderly patient’s question one more time. It’s reassuring a nervous child before giving a flu shot. It’s teaching a patient how to use his epi-pen to possibly save his life one day. Pharmacy is all of these things, but most of all, it’s personal.
To many, interactions such as these may seem perfectly ordinary, but for fifth-year ONU pharmacy student Heather Shaffer, they are the reasons she wants to be a pharmacist.

The Ada Kiwanis Club will mark its 93rd anniversary when it meets at noon onTuesday, Feb. 28, in McIntosh Center. Kiwanian Jon Umphress will present a program on the club's first year in 1924.

LIMA BATH - Polar Bears Ashton Dye and Holly Wilson combined to score 48 points and lead Hardin Northern past county rival Ada 60-49 in girls Div. IV first round sectional basketball action Tuesday evening at Bath.
Sophomore guard Dye scored 25 points and 5-11 senior Wilson contributed 23 markers as the duo nearly equaled the Ada output.
HN led by 11 at halftime, yet a 15-2 run by the Lady Bulldogs to start the third period put the outcome in doubt. But Northern reeled off 11 unanswered points to regain a 43-35 lead with 5:22 remaining to play.

Sophomore Ryan Bruns(Chickasaw/Marion Local) scored a career-high 29 points to lead the Ohio Northern men's basketball team in a tough 72-71 loss to Baldwin Wallace in the quarterfinals of the 2017 Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament on Tuesday night at the ONU Sports Center.
The third-seeded Polar Bears end their season with a 16-10 record, while the sixth-seeded Yellow Jackets improve to 14-12 and will host seventh-seeded Muskingum in the semifinals on Thursday.
Bruns had 29 and senior Aron Thress(Lancaster/Amanda Clearcreek) had 12 points to lead ONU.
