Samuel Risner was retired from Erie Railroad

Samuel Risner, age 89 died Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 3:55 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health System, Lima.

He was born on March 24, 1924 in Gullet, KY to Jack and Delli (Montgomery) Risner who preceded him in death. On June 27, 1944 he married Arlene Botkin and she died on December 16, 1992.

Samuel worked for 29 years for the Erie Railroad. He was a member of the Quickstep Pentecostal Church of God, Alger.

Sadie Mae Lyons was former owner of Lyons Antiques in Ada

Sadie Mae Lyons, age 80 died Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 6:29 p.m. at Lima Manor, Lima, Ohio.

She was born December 13, 1932 in DeGraff, Ohio to Jesse and Marie (Jones) Conner and they preceded her in death. On September 9, 1968 she married Frank T. Lyons and he died February 17, 2009.

Sadie was a homemaker and had previously been a foster mother for many years, helping many children. She previously owned an antique store in Ada called Lyon's Antiques with her husband Frank.

Rev. Walter W. Powers, Jr., 1943-2013

Rev. Walter W. Powers, Jr. age 70, died on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 4:45 p.m. at his residence in Sidney.

He was born July 20, 1943 in McGuffey, Ohio to Walter W. and Donna Mae (Barnett) Powers, Sr., they preceded him in death. He married Judith Ann Jump on October 14, 1962 in Kenton and she survives in Sidney.

Rev. Powers previously worked in law enforcement and was a pastor. He received his B.A. in Bible Theology and a Teacher Diploma from Southeastern Bible College in Florida. He received his B.S. in Psychology from Urbana University, Urbana. He also graduated from Dayton Theological Seminary.

George Reini, 1948-2013

George Reini, age 64, died Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at his residence in Bluffton.

He was born on October 31, 1948 to George I. and Charlott (Dilley) Reini and they preceded him in death.

George was a professor at the University of Findlay. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Surviving are two sons: Eric (Diana) Reini of Marion and Seth (Stephanie) Reini of San Diego, CA; three daughters: Noelle (Chris) Sautter of Ada, Megan (Adam) Corbe of Cleveland and Bethany Reini of Delaware; and twelve grandchildren.

Docia L. Hall, 1921-2013

Docia L. Hall, age 91, died Monday, September 23, 2013 at 9:14 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health System, Lima, Ohio.

She was born on November 10, 1921 in Prestonsburg, KY to Jake and Eliza (Puckett) Holbrook and they preceded her in death. On November 28, 1938 she married Harlan G. Hall and he died July 20, 1983.

Docia was a homemaker. She was a member of the Quickstep Pentecostal Church of God of Alger and a member of the Topps Weight Loss Club of Kenton.

Funeral service Friday in the ONU chapel for Austin Weber

Austin James Weber, 19 of Ada, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at 5:35 p.m. at Akron General Hospital as a result of a longboarding accident.

He was born on June 20, 1994, in Lima, Ohio to Carl J. and Mary Lou (Illig) Weber who survive in Ada.

Austin was a sophomore at the University of Akron. He was a 2012 graduate of Ada High School and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Ada. He was an organ donor.

Also surviving are: two sisters, Kelsey Weber of Newport, Calif., and Holly Weber of Centerville, and a brother, Alex Weber of Ada; maternal grandmother, Lucille Illig of Landeck; paternal grandfather, Robert Weber of Delphos.
