Funeral service Friday in the ONU chapel for Austin Weber

Austin James Weber, 19 of Ada, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at 5:35 p.m. at Akron General Hospital as a result of a longboarding accident.

He was born on June 20, 1994, in Lima, Ohio to Carl J. and Mary Lou (Illig) Weber who survive in Ada.

Austin was a sophomore at the University of Akron. He was a 2012 graduate of Ada High School and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Ada. He was an organ donor.

Also surviving are: two sisters, Kelsey Weber of Newport, Calif., and Holly Weber of Centerville, and a brother, Alex Weber of Ada; maternal grandmother, Lucille Illig of Landeck; paternal grandfather, Robert Weber of Delphos.

Michael A. Krofft, 1955-2013

Michael A. Krofft, age 58, died on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at 10:03 a.m. at Fox Run Manor, Findlay, Ohio.

He was born on January 4, 1955 in Lima, Ohio to Louis A. and Clarabelle (Smith) Krofft. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Ada. He was married to Joyce Moss and they were divorced.

Michael was a self employed general repairman. He enjoyed restoring antique tractors and gas station memorabilia.

Surviving are two sons: Russell Krofft of Forest and Seth (Holly) Krofft of Ada; two grandchildren; two sisters: Kathleen (James) Seidl of Albion, MI and Charleen (Frank) Gangemi of Findlay.

Frances Maree Gibson, 1940-2013

Frances Maree Gibson, age 72, died on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 3:36 p.m. surrounded by her loving family at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.

She was born on October 29, 1940 in Wharton, Ohio to Roy D. and Helen D. (Bostater) Searfoss and they preceded her in death. On November 21, 1956 she married Troy E. "Gene" Gibson and he survives in Ada.

Frances was a homemaker. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Lima. 

Margaret E. Brown, 1920-2013

Margaret E. Brown, age 93, died Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 3:55 a.m. at Lima Memorial Health Systems, Lima.

She was born on April 3, 1920 in Delphos, Ohio to William and Mabel (Mulnhour) Shoemaker and they preceded her in death. She married Charles Claude Brown and he died in August 2006.

Margaret was a homemaker. She attended the Maysville United Methodist Church, Maysville.

Surviving are a son, C. Daniel Brown of Harrod; three grandchildren: Nicole Rainsburg of Lima, Matthew Rainsburg of Lima and Jared Gudakunst of Harrod; six great grandchildren: Ben Bailey, Shelby Bailey, Sean Bailey, Jordan Bailey, Gavin Rainsburg and Spencer Gibson.

Helen L. Hadley, 1920-2013

Helen L. Hadley, 93, died at 4 a.m. Sept. 14, 2013, at The Arbors Nursing Home in Delaware, Ohio.

She was born on Feb. 4, 1920, in Tuscarawas County, Ohio to Jesse and Ruby Maurer Dietz, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 29, 1938, she married David B. Hadley, who died Oct. 12, 1991.

Mrs. Hadley graduated from Sugarcreek Shanesville High School in 1937. She retired from Irene's Bridal Shop, Lima, where she worked as a seamstress. She was a member of Alger Assembly of God Church and a former member of Harrod United Methodist Church and the UMW. She volunteered as an adviser for Harrod Cheerful Workers 4-H Club for 25 years.

Funeral service Tuesday for Loyd Agin

Loyd W. Agin, age 83, died on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 6:40 pm at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

He was born on August 11, 1930 in Ada, Ohio to Elmer Loyd and Mary Susan (Wherry) Agin and they preceded him in death. On August 4, 1961 he married Mary Beatrice "Bea" Griffith and she survives in Ada.

Loyd previously worked for Buckeye Pipeline. He worked at McCurdy Steel Product where he designed and built grain elevators. He retired from Ford Motor Company Lima Engine Plant where he worked as a welder in skilled trades.

He was a member of the UAW Local #1219. Ada First Presbyterian Church was his church home.
