Sara Mae (Petty) Weddle -Cleveland, age 86, died Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 3:45am at Lost Creek Care Center, Lima.

            She was born on May 16, 1930 in Wooster, Ohio to Ralph and Mildred (Rosenlieb) Petty and they preceded her in death.    On May 29, 1948 she married Samuel E. Weddle who died on March 6, 1995.  On October 26, 2007 she married Floyd L. Cleveland and he survives in Harrod.

            Sara was a beautician and she owned and operated Sara’s Beauty Shop in Harrod.  She was a member of the Maysville United Methodist Church of Maysville, Ohio.  She was a graduate of Fredrick's Beauty College in Lima, Ohio. 

Edna Mae Judy, 89, died March 28, 2017, at Lima Memorial Health System.  Edna was born Oct. 10, 1927, in Breathitt County, Kentucky, to the late James and Mary (Higgins) Clemons. On Dec.10, 1947, she married Cecil Judy who preceded her in death on Nov. 15, 1989.

Edna was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. 

Survivors include six children, Dellia (John) Villearreal of Ottawa, Mary (DeWayne) Salsbury of Alger, Clinton Judy of Mt. Cory, Hebert (Wanda) Judy of Alger, Connie (Richard) Baker of Bluffton, Lelia Dyer of Ada; 22 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a sister, Opal Stacy of Stanton, Kentucky. 

Joe Edward Patton, age 89, died on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at 6:07pm at Birchaven Nursing Home, Findlay

          He was born on February 12, 1928 in Hueysville, Kentucky to M.F. and Pearlie (Prater) Patton. His parents preceded him in death, his step-mother, Dorsie Patton survives in Eastern, KY. On December 31, 1945 Joe married Earnesteen Hicks and she preceded him in death on December 13, 1992. He later married A. McDowell and she preceded him in death.

John F. Tafe, age 66, died on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at 9:45am at his residence surrounded by his family.

          He was born on November 7, 1950 in Providence, Rhode Island to John F. and Mary C. (Coughlin) Tafe II who preceded him in death. On June 10, 1972 John married Sue C. Hilton and she survives in Ada.

          John was a retired U.S. Air Force Veteran who served from 1969 to 1989. After he retired from the Air Force John worked for Proctor & Gamble of Lima, he retired after working 20 years. He loved camping and doing woodworking. He was an avid gun enthusiast. John loved his family and his grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Dorothy L. Zimmerly, age 83, died peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at 12:27pm at her residence.

She was born on February 8, 1934 in Dola, Ohio to Clarence H. and Marie L. (Dirmeyer) Jump.

Her father preceded her in death in 1940 and her mother preceded her in death in January of 1999.

On September 20, 1953 Dorothy married Donavin "Don" Zimmerly and he died on March 11, 2014.

Dorothy was the secretary for Van's Real Estate and Insurance.

She received her Realtor's license in 1972.

Dorothy then worked for Century 21 Sunway Realty until her retirement in 1999.

Lester E. Mumaw II, age 65, died on Wednesday, March 22, at 5:00pm at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.

He was born on January 11, 1952 in Lima, Ohio to Lester E. and Betty J. (Plummer) Mumaw who preceded him in death. Lester was previously married to Pamela (Parks) Mumaw. He was engaged to Wendy Porter and she survives in LaFayette.

Lester retired from Northwest Towing in Beaverdam where he had worked as an operations manager. He was a member of the Beaverdam Church of Christ. Lester was the current president of the LaFayette Village Council. He was a member of the Colonial Golf Club. He loved to go camping and enjoyed riding his Harley.
