Patrick Clark was retired as a Marathon Oil distributor

Patrick J. “Pat” Clark, 92, died on Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at 11:05 a.m. at Vancrest of Ada.

He was born on March 17, 1928, in Allen County, Ohio, to the late Lawrence and Edna (Schlosser) Clark.  On Oct. 1, 1988, Patrick married Penny L. Keller and she survives in Lima.

Patrick retired from Marathon Oil, where he worked for 22 years as a distributor.  He also worked at Stoney Ridge Nursery for 20 years. He formerly worked at Rockwell in Kenton.  He formerly belonged to the Sager Lodge of the Masons, LaFayette. Patrick was a member of the NRA. He enjoyed nature, flowers, trees and wildlife, and cutting wood and the outdoors. He was an avid OSU fan and enjoyed golfing.

Charles Wood was an Ada HS graduate

Charles E. Wood, 92, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020, at 12:27 p.m. at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.

He was born on May 8, 1927, in Ada, Ohio, to the late Albert L. and Nancy Elva (Moore) Wood. On July 1, 1950, Charles married Barbara J. Brown and she preceded him in death on Oct. 30, 2018.  

Charles retired from First Federal Savings & Loan Association,Wauseon, where he worked as a branch manager and a vice president.  He previously taught at Bryan High School and in Agribusiness. 

Dr. Anne Lippert was retired ONU vice president of academic affairs

And served as chair of the Foreign Language Department

Dr. Anne Lippert, 86, died on Saturday, April 4, 2020, at 2:10 a.m. at her residence in Ada, surrounded by her family.

She was born on Feb. 17, 1934 in Seattle, Washington, to the late Raymond and Eva (Doren) Lippert.  On May 7, 1977, Anne married Jeffrey M. Schulman and he survives in Ada. 

Roe Lansing owned Lansing Brothers Construction, Ada

Roe N. Lansing,  97, died on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at 5 p.m. at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.

He was born on June 2, 1922, in Big Springs, Ohio, to the late Charles O. and Dora Mae (O’Brien) Lansing. On Aug. 16, 1941, Roe married Alice E. Simon and she preceded him in death.

Roe was a carpenter, owner and operator of Lansing Brothers Construction Co. of Ada.  He was a member of the Grace Gospel Church of God, Ada.  Roe served in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1944-1946.  He was a member of the Ada VFW Post #9381, the American Legion Post #185 of Ada and of the former Hix and Chix Western Square Dance Club for 43 years. 

Mary Cunningham was a 1949 ONU graduate

She was a teacher for the East Cleveland School District

Mary I. Cunningham, a 92, died on Monday, March 30, 2020 at 2:25 p.m. at her residence in Shaker Heights.

She was born on March 25, 1928 in Lima, Ohio, to the late Ralph D. and Mabel A. (Mushaw) Cunningham.  Mary was first married to Eugene Harsh and he preceded her in death.  She then married the late Simon T. Williams and they later divorced. 

Mary was a teacher for the East Cleveland School District.  She was a 1949 graduate of Ohio Northern University.

Surviving is a daughter: Linda (Antonio) Harsh Gonzalez of Shaker Heights; and a dear first cousin: Patricia Cameron of Toledo.

Gary Grant was a 1957 graduate of Lafayette-Jackson High School

Gary A. Grant, 81, died on Thursday, March 26, 2020, at 8:09 a.m. at Vancrest of Ada.

He was born on Jan. 6, 1939, in Bluffton, Ohio, to the late Clyde and Kathleen (Luginbuhl) Grant. On March 3, 1967, Gary married Gloria West and she survives in Lima.

Gary retired from Ford Motor Company of Lima and was also a farmer. He was a graduate of LaFayette-Jackson High School class of 1957. Gary was a U.S. Army Veteran serving from 1958 to 1960. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of LaFayette.  Gary liked to golf and travel, one of his favorite places to travel was Hawaii.
