Stephen R. (Herman) Sexton 1960 - 2020

Stephen R. (Herman) Sexton, age 59, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at 9:53 p.m.

He was born on Dec. 24, 1960, in Kenton, Ohio, to Robie and Beatrice Sexton.  He was preceded in his passing by his parents and siblings: Phyllis McDaniels, Harold Sexton and Linda McGregor. 

Stephen is survived by his daughter, Alexis Baker and her mom Heather Baker; siblings: Geraldine Cowen, Roger Sexton, Bob (Sue) Sexton, Gary (Janet) Sexton, James Sexton and Debbie (Wayne) Wells; over 25 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.

Teresa A. Prater 1959 - 2020

Teresa A. Prater, 61, died on Monday, June 8, 2020, at her residence in Kenton.

She was born on June 8, 1959, in Kenton, Ohio, to the late Kenny and Zeallie Jo (Jones) Prater. 

Teresa was a homemaker.

Teresa is survived by a son, Shane (Raymond) Purcell of Centerton, Arkansas; two daughters: Zeallie Prater of Ada and Michelle (Adam) Lowery of Wapakoneta; seven grandchildren: Cheyanne, Jazlynn, Destiny, Dakota, Aaron, Hannah and Nathan; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth (Angie) Prater of Foraker; and four sisters: Peggy (Howard) Currence of Roundhead, Shelly Wrenchy of Lima, Tonya Prater of Jumbo and Linda Wilson of Kenton.

Martin Schaad was retired from Neon Signs, Lima

Martin Schaad, 99, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2020, at 6:37 p.m. at his residence in Harrod.

He was born on August 19, 1920 in Watkins, Iowa, to John and Selina Schaad.  On Dec. 24, 1947, Martin married Idelia Barnhart and she survives in Harrod.

Martin worked for Neon Signs in Lima. In his later years, he and his wife worked craft shows and enjoyed wood working. He enjoyed tending his garden. He was U.S. Navy veteran serving during WWII.

Mildred Laudick was a retired machinist at ATI, Ada

Mildred L. Laudick, age 80, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2020, at 2:53 a.m. at the Shawnee Manor in Lima, Ohio.

She was born on July 8, 1939, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Harold and Pauline (Donehoo) Steele. Mildred was formerly married to Paul J. Laudick and he preceded her in death on July 11, 1999.

Mildred retired from ATI of Ada, where she worked as a machinist.

Graveside services for Willard Nelson

 Willard Daniel Nelson, 64, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2020, at 8:01 p.m. at his residence in McGuffey.

He was born in West Virginia to the late Willard and Audrey (Richardson) Nelson. 

Daniel worked at Mechanicsburg Sand & Gravel. 

Daniel is survived by his two sisters: Mary Maynard and Verna Highmiller; and several nieces and nephews, including Anthony Wayne Olinger.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Floyd Richardson and John Nelson; a sister and brother-in-law, Christine and Anthony Olinger.

Private graveside services will be held at Woodstock Cemetery, Woodstock, Ohio.

Catherine M. Bish was a retired registered nurse

Catherine M. Bish, 94, died May 31, 2020 at her residence in Leipsic. Catherine was born June 16, 1925 in Portage, Ohio, to the late Glenn and Abby (Sievertson) Woods. On June 16, 1951, she married Marlowe Bish who preceded her in death on July 3, 1993. 

Catherine graduated from Bowling Green High School and the Flower Hospital School of Nursing in Toledo. She was a registered nurse at various locations.  Catherine was a member of the Bluffton Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Gathering Basket Herbs Society and the Order of the Eastern Star. Catherine enjoyed crocheting, traveling, reading and bird watching.
