Marilyn "Kay" Sanders was retired from Wilson Sporting Goods

Marilyn “Kay” Sanders, 74, passed away on Sept. 4, 2020, at 1:18 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health System surrounded by family. 

She was born on June 5, 1946 in Lima, Ohio, to the late Howard and Inise (Lee) Lawrence.  On Febr. 17, 1968, Kay married Larry R. Sanders. 

Kay retired from Wilson Sporting Goods of Ada. 

Also surviving are her three daughters: Chrissi (Matt) Kriegel of Lima, Missy (Jaime) LeVan of Ridgeway and Tina Rudasill of Ada; three grandchildren: Brandon LeVan, Courtney Barnes-Rudasill and Katie Rudasill; three step grandchildren: Andy Rudasill, Brooklyn Rudasill and Cheyenne Rudasill; five brothers and four sisters.

Janet Gault was a lifelong Ada resident

Janet L. Gault, 81, died on Friday, Aug. 28, 2020, at 3:20 p.m. at Kindred Hospital, Lima.

She was born on June 9, 1939, in Ada, Ohio, to the late Jasper and Aezelda (Robnolte) Dearth.  Janet was first married to the late Charles J. Mowery.   On March 4, 1963, Janet married Robert L. Gault and he preceded her in death on March 12, 2002.

Iretta Wright was retired from United Telephone/Sprint

Iretta Wright, 88, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2020, at 5:57 p.m. at the Blanchard Valley Health System – Hospice, Findlay. Iretta was ready when the Lord called her.

She was born on Dec. 10, 1931, in Floyd County, Kentucky, to the late Willie and Sarah (Puckett) Wright.

Iretta worked as a supervisor of Operator Services retiring from the United Telephone Company/Sprint formerly the Lima Telephone Company.  She was attended the former Lonesome Valley United Baptist Church and the former Alger United Baptist Church. Iretta loved working in her yard, taking care of her roses, gardening and sharing her produce.  She was a very generous, loving and caring person.  

Louise T. Baker was a life member of Ada VFW Auxiliary

 Louise T. Baker, 94, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2020, at 6:49 a.m. at her home in Harrod, surrounded by her family.  Louise was also known as “Granny” “Ta-Da” or “Sis,” depending on who she was talking to.

Louise was born on Sept. 10, 1925, to Balthasar and Teresa (Thuringer) Kirchmeier, who preceded her in death.

On Sept. 20, 1946, she married Charles E. Baker who died Sept. 8, 1971, in Denver, Colorado. After her husband’s death, Louise moved to Ohio where she made her home with her daughter, Donna and son-in-law Phil, in Harrod, until the time of her death.

Ann Marie McDowell 1955 - 2020

Ann Marie McDowell, 65, died on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2020, at her residence in McGuffey, Ohio.

She was born on Feb. 21, 1955, in Greenville, South Carolina, to Eugene and Evelyn (Ready) Kalutz. Her father preceded her in death and her mother survives in Camden, South Carolina. On July 4, 1973, Ann married Paul McDowell and he survives in McGuffey, Ohio.

Beverly Cole was a naturalist at Johnny Appleseed Metro Park

 Beverly J. Cole, 66, died on Friday, Aug.14, 2020 at her residence in Lima.       

She was born on Sept. 29, 1953, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Gaylord A. and France B. (Nichols) Cole.

Beverly was a naturalist, and volunteer at Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park, Lima. She earned four Bachelor’s Degrees, two from Ohio State University and two from Bowling Green State University and a Master’s Degree from APUS. 

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Gayle and John Heston of Sandusky; and a nephew, Christopher Heston of Melbourne, Fla.

Beverly was preceded in death by her two sisters: Dianna Cole and Grace Cole.
