Ada village officials provided the Icon with the village approach to snow emergencies. Here is information of interest to residents from The Village Voice:
Snow Emergencies
Village crews work around the clock through major snowfalls to keep the Village streets as safe and passable as possible. Please keep the following tips in mind:
• Crews do not wait for a snow emergency to be declared to begin clearing roads.
If you are able to park your vehicles off the street, please do so. Once the public lots at the Depot and the corner of West Buckeye Avenue and North Gilbert Street are plowed, please consider using those lots.
Without the help of many, Ada would not be what it is

This Thanksgiving, we are saying thank you to all those who volunteer and work hard to improve our community. Without the help of many, Ada would not be what it is.
Residents are served throughout the year by the volunteer work of the Ada Tree Commissioners, Planning Commissioners and Board of Zoning Appeals members. These individuals serve on the referenced commissions and boards on their own time, and continually work to improve the appearance and health of the community.

Village wide leaf pick up is well under way!
As temperatures continue to fall and frosts hit our ground, so will the leaves. If you are staying ahead of the game by continuing to rake to the tree lawn area, our crews greatly appreciate it! As in the past, the street crew will temporarily suspend pick up next week, as it is a short week due the Thanksgiving Day holiday. Leaf pick up will resume for the final, planned week on Nov. 28 – Dec. 1.
Once crews have finished with leaf pick up for the season, please bag any leaves and call the Village office to schedule a pick up.
