ONU's winning streak at 5 after beating Otterbein 34-13

Ohio Northern extended its winning streak to five games and wrapped up its season with a 34-13 victory at Otterbein in the 2014 season finale Saturday afternoon at Memorial Stadium.

The Polar Bears end their season with a 7-3 record and finish fourth in the Ohio Athletic Conference with a 6-3 mark, while the Cardinals end their season at 5-5, 5-4.

Ohio Northern also clinched its 16th upper division OAC finish in the last 17 years and is 18-2 in its last 20 regular season finales.

Junior Justin Magazine led the Polar Bears with 122 yards rushing and a touchdown on 23 carries.

On Nov. 8, residents of Ada celebrated the grand opening of Simply Torn, a new shop on Main Street.

It was a warm welcome for Jamie Burger, who counted 150 tickets in the drawing she offered and completely sold out of scarves and fleece leggings by 1 p.m.

ONU music department presents faculty concert Nov. 17

The Ohio Northern University Department of Music presents a faculty concert featuring Dave Kosmyna, associate professor of music, in the Snyder Recital Hall in the Presser Building on Monday, Nov. 17, at 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
          

Kosmyna will be accompanied by Pamela Ashmore, ONU lecturer of music, on piano and Tyler Graves, a 2011 ONU graduate, on trumpet. The program includes Vivaldi Concerto in C for two trumpets, Arutunian Trumpet Concerto, and Sachse Concertino in Eb for cornet. The second half will feature the classic jazz of Louis Armstrong and Jelly Roll Morton with guests Alex Belhaj on guitar and James Dapogony on piano.
