The Ada midget football team will host a cancer walk at the Ada War Memorial Stadium and Park from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 13. Pre-registration begins at 1:30 p.m.

Tim Campbell, coach, said, "This is a fun event open to the public and everyone of all ages. Be part of our pack and join the fight."
All money, donations and t-shirt order forms are due to Campbell by Monday, Sept. 30. "Not only is this a chance to support the fight against cancer, it is also an opportunity to help young athletes come together as a team and become involved in service to Ada."
Linda Armstrong is the new branch manager of Ada's U.S. Bank, 528 S. Main St. The Findlay native assumed the position in mid-August.
She has 20 years of managerial experience and 10 years in auditing and banking experience. Armstrong is a University of Findlay graduate with a degree in business and accounting.
Armstrong is active in several civic and non-profit organizations. She had served as vice president of the Seneca County Habitat for Humanity.
"I'm looking forward to becoming involved in the Ada community," said Armstrong. "Ada has a great small town feel and it's really nice to be here."
As a service to residents, the Village will once again be picking up leaves that have been raked by residents. More details will be forthcoming in the October 31 issue of the Village Voice.
For now, the Village wants to let you know that the annual leaf pick up flyers will once again be mailed with the September water bills. Those bills are scheduled to be mailed by September 28.
The first day for 2013 leaf pick up is scheduled for November 4, weather permitting.

President Myrna McCurdy called the weekly meeting of the Ada Kiwanis Club at 12 noon on Tuesday September 17, at McIntosh Center, Ohio Northern University.

The membership anniversary of Harold Friesner (September 21, 2007) was also noted.
The wedding anniversary of Joe and Linda Ferguson (September 23, 1972)-41 years was also noted.
