Jayden Matthew Elwood was a student at Ada High School

Jayden Matthew Elwood, age 17, of Ada, passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. 

He was born on August 9, 2006, in Findlay, Ohio to Jessica Elwood. His mother, Jessica survives in Ada and his father, Matt Williams survives in Toledo. 

Jayden was entering his sophomore year at Ada High School. He enjoyed playing basketball, wrestling and playing video games. He also enjoyed music, being outdoors and being with his friends.

Dance studio open house, August 19

Studio 419 will hold its second annual open house on Saturday, August 19 from 4:00-6:00 p.m.

The Dancers Pointe, a dance shop in Perrysburg, will be helping students find the correct size and style of shoes.

Maya Angelou was an American poet, writer, and civil rights activist. She is famous for over 50 publications including I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings. She was part of the inauguration of President Bill Clinton on January 20, 1983 when she recited her poem On the Pulse of the Morning. 

Bulldog boys soccer edged by Bath

BATH TWP.– The visiting Ada High School boys soccer team lost a 3-2 nailbiter at Bath on Wednesday evening, August 16, in a non-league match.

The Wildcats tallied two goals on penalty kicks.

3:30 to 4:30 p.m. - Back to School Pizza Party! (All Ages)

Friday, August 18
3:30 to 4:30 p.m. - Coloring Club
Coloring books and supplies are provided. Open to all ages.

Saturday, August 19
11 a.m. to 12 p.m. - Craft with Miss Chloe
Ages: 0 to 5th grade

Tuesday, August 22
3:30 to 4:30 p.m. - Teen Time

Back to school by bus and on foot

The Ada Exempted Village Schools are back in sessions starting August 17. All are reminded to be extra cautious in the morning and afternoon when students are going to and from school by bus and on foot.
