Bulldog baseball blanks Lima Senior

LIMA – The visiting Ada High School varsity baseball team shut out Lima Senior 2-0 in a non-league contest Wednesday evening, March 29.

Ada improved to 1-0 with their first win of the season.

LIMA – The visiting Ada High School softball team put on a late run to defeat Lima Senior 9-5 in a non-league game Wednesday evening, March 29.

The Bulldogs improved to 2-0 with the convincing win. The Spartan girls fell to 0-1 with the loss. 

Bulldog track season opens with tri meet at Indian Lake

INDIAN LAKE – The Ada High School track and field team got off to a solid start in its spring season on a chilly Tuesday evening at Indian Lake with Upper Scioto Valley.

The Bulldog boys and girls teams both finished second out of three teams. IL finished first, while USV came in third.

“We had a lot of first-place finishes and got off to a strong start to our season,” said Ada head coach Tyler Craig. (View Ada results HERE.)

Sophomore Logan Jolliff won the 100 and 200-meter sprint events. Freshman Kayleb Hickman took first in the 400 meters.

Bulldog sophomore Ethan D’Souza crossed the line first in the 3200 meter run. Ada junior Jackson Brown won the 110 high hurdles.

The Ada 4x400 relay teams won both the boys and girls races.

Ram Joe Parker won the 800 meter run (2:15.16). USV’s Kevin Smith took first in the shot put (44-11) and discus (114-8).

Ada is slated to run in a seven-team meet at Waynesfield Saturday, which includes Allen East and Indian Lake.
