An ice cream social featuring Dietsch’s ice cream will be dished up from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18 at ReStore Community Center, 210 North Main St., Ada, Ohio.

Hosted by the Ada First United Methodist Women, the event will offer sandwiches, brownies, sides and beverages, as well as the opportunity to make your own ice cream sundae.

Tickets are $6.00; tickets for children under 10 are $4.00.

ReStore Community Center is hosting a fundraiser for the Beacon Fund on Saturday, July 12th. The event will be similar to a poker run and will include riding to churches; no poker cards will be drawn. Donations will be $15.00 for one hand, $20.00 for 2 and $5.00 for each additional hand. Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 hands.

Registration will be from 10-11:30 a.m. at ReStore, 210 North Main St., Ada, Ohio. A light meal will be furnished at ReStore after the end of play. The DJ "Wicked Mourning " will provide music. There will be door prizes and 50/50 tickets.

Bluffton dance studio, Dancers Elite, will present its 34th annual recital, "Follow Your Dream," on Friday and Saturday, June 6-7, according to Debbie Garlock.

Performances are in the Bluffton Middle School and begin at 7 p.m.

This year's theme is "By The Sea." It features students from the Bluffton area as well as Ada, Cory-Rawson, Pandora, Mt. Blanchard, Findlay and Lima. Tickets are $7 for ages 3 and up. Youth ages 2 and younger are free.

The Ada Seniors will be meeting at noon on Wednesday, June 13,  at Community Health Professionals on S. Main Street for Pizza and cards.  Members and visitors welcome.

Amanda Bennett, Ada Public Library director, reminds Icon viewers to stop by the Ada Public Library, Saturday, May 31, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the Summer Reading 2014 Kick-Off.

The Library will also host a Touch-a-Truck event, 4-H animals, face painting, and a used book sale on May 31.

Sign-up for Summer Reading begins that day too. Summer reading is for everyone of all ages, and runs June 2 to July 11.
