First Saturday Sing held

Singers from Alger, Lima, and Delphos joined Noteworthy Community Choir for its first Saturday Sing on Nov. 3. Held at Golden Bridge Academy, singers learned several songs, accompanied themselves on Orff instruments (xylophones and metallophones), and created rainsticks - culminating in a time of sharing with parents and friends.  This was the first in a series of yearly workshops NCC will sponsor to promote awareness of new choral opportunities for singers of all ages. 

Cider press, corn maze final weekend Nov. 3-4

FROM BLUFFTON ICON - Sunday, Nov. 4, is your final opportunity to visit the rural Bluffton Suter Produce corn maze and to pick up some of this season’s cider.

Saturday and Sunday hours are 1 to 8 p.m. The final maze admission time is 7 p.m. The cider press and corn maze is located at 8250 Road R, Pandora.

Information seminar on relief from reflux

Monday at Mercy Health-St. Rita's

About one-third of Americans experience heartburn – a burning pain in your esophagus – at least once a month. Other feel that pain even more regularly.
 
Mercy Health specialists Dr. Jason Bowersock and Dr. Jayde Kurland are offering a free informational seminar for anyone with or interested about the symptoms of heartburn. This seminar will be taking place on Monday, Nov. 5, between 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. at Lima Mercy Health - St. Rita’s 718 building, first floor, Auxiliary Conference room #3.

Christmas Market in The Mansion takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 3, in the Jones Mansion, 313 E. Sandusky St., Findlay.

All the music you can eat on Saturday

41st annual Ada Music Feast features nine show choirs

The 41st annual Ada Music Feast show choir invitational competition will be held all day on Saturday, Nov. 3, at the school.

This year’s program will feature students from nine show choirs from Ohio and Michigan.  The Ada Varsity Singers, under the direction of Scott Henning, vocal music director, and Jonathan Lischak, director of instrumental music, will provide an exhibition performance as the host school.

The event will be held in the high school auditorium with the first group taking the stage at 8:30 a.m.  Performances continue throughout the day with the daytime awards ceremony at 2:30 p.m. in the gymnasium.
