Next Ada Historical meeting Sept. 16

The Ada Historical Society will hold its regular monthly (September) meeting on Monday, Sept. 16, at 6:30 p.m. in the meeting room at the Ada Public Library, 320 N. Main Street, Ada.

Fall Festival in Bluffton on Sept. 28

The Bluffton community’s 16th annual Fall Festival, with many family-oriented activities, takes place throughout the community on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. 

New this year, Bluffton Family Recreation will host a “Kickoff Event” on Friday, Sept. 27, beginning at 5 p.m.

Ohio poet provides readings at ONU on Sept. 17

The Ohio Northern University Department of English and Polaris Literary Magazine hosts an evening Dan Rzicznek, Ohio poet, on Tuesday, Sept. 17.

The event is in the Wilson Art Center Elzay Gallery. A catered reception at 6:30 p.m. and followed by a question-answer session and poetry reading at 7 p.m.

Rzicznek’s collections of poetry are Settlers, (forthcoming from Free Verse Editions/Parlor Press), Divination Machine (Free Verse Editions/Parlor Press) and Neck of the World (Utah State University Press), as well as four chapbooks, most recently Live Feeds (Epiphany Editions).

It's Hardin County Fair week

It's Hardin County Fair week. Here's an update of fair events from the Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance.

Around the world wine sampling coming to The Inn

Sept. 14 event includes wine sampling, food and cultural exploration

The Inn at ONU, 401 W. College Ave., Ada, holds its annual Around the World Wine Sampling evening next month.

The event is Saturday, Sept. 14, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. In addition to wine, the evening includes food and cultural exploration.

Tickets are $30 per guest, which includes an extensive selection of appetizers, five unique wine samples, wine commentary provided by wine industry expert Diana Kerr Brown, live entertainment, relaxing atmosphere and a truly enjoyable evening. Tax and gratuity are additional.
