New Vision Medical Lab opens at St. Rita's

Mercy Health — St. Rita’s Medical Center now has New Vision Medical Laboratories on its campus. The New Vision Medical Laboratories are also at Bluffton Family Medicine, UNOH Family Practice, Ada Family Medicine and Glandorf Family Medicine.

The New Vision Medical Laboratories offer new lower competitive pricing, shorter wait times, reliable results and access to results on the Mercy Health MyChart. Lima hours are Mondays through Thursdays, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Fridays 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Spotted and Spreading: 2019 Measles Outbreak

Previously eliminated disease resurged in a matter of months

As of early this month, there have been 228 cases of measles in 12 states so far this year. That means that, in less than three months, this year has seen more measles cases than all of 2017.

Cases have been confirmed in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Texas and Washington. Washington declared a state of emergency as the number of measles cases continued to rise.

The number of cases and cities affected by measles continues to increase, according to health experts.

Ada Dairy B's open for the season

Ice cream comes soft served and hand-dipped as sundaes, shakes, soda floats and cyclones

The sun is out and the temperature is rising.

That means that the Ada Dairy B’s is open for the season. The ice cream drive-in at 4209 State Route 235 south of Ada opened a week ago.

This season’s hours are Mondays through Saturdays 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays, noon to 9 p.m. The kitchen closes nightly at 8:30 p.m.

Ice cream comes soft served and hand-dipped as sundaes, shakes, soda floats and cyclones. The menu also includes sandwiches, hot dogs, soft drinks  and several side dishes.
