Literacy Computers at the Library

The Ada Public Library is proud to announce the arrival of two literacy computers in the Children's Department! The computers, geared toward kids ages 2 years - 2nd grade, offer the library's young patrons an opportunity to practice literacy skills with activities and games via ABC Mouse. 

The computers were purchased with the help of a 2014 Hardin County Community Foundation grant. Many thanks go to this amazing foundation--we know the children at the library will surely appreciate the computers!

Pancake Pandemonium

Kids in grades 4th-12th grades are welcome to pop by the Ada Library, Wednesday, March 25th from 3:30-4:30p.m. for pancakes. The event will be held in the Meeting Room, where the kids can also study, or chat with their peers. As always, the program is FREE.

Frozen Sing-a-long at the Ada Library

Lovers of the Disney movie Frozen should stop by the Ada Library, Saturday, March 21st at 10:30a.m. for themed crafts, snacks, and a viewing of the sing-a-long version of the film. And yes, participation in the sing-a-long is STRONGLY encouraged; folks are also encouraged to dress as their favorite Frozen character. As always the program is FREE and open to all.

Thank You FRIENDS of the Ada Public Library!

The Ada Public Library would like to extend a big THANK YOU to the FRIENDS of the Ada Public Library for their support in purchasing a new storytime rug for our Meeting Room. The rug was unveiled and enjoyed by our families this morning, with many children excited as to what objects or letters they were sitting on!

• Teen (8th-12th grades) Book Group
Thursday, March 19, 4 p.m.
“Afterworlds,” by Scott Westerfield

Mustard Seed Cafe featured on Noon Edition Feb. 25

Dick and Jayne McGarrity invite Icon viewers to yune in to "Noon Edition" WLIO-TV Wednesday, Feb. 25, between 12:30 and 1 p.m. for a behind-the-scenes look at the Mustard Seed Cafe, located in Bluffton.
