Library holds coloring contest

Adult picture entry from last year

The Ada Public Library is sponsoring a coloring contest now through the end of the month. Winners receive of each category will win a $15 Amazon gift certificate.

There are five categories by age group from 0-5 years up to adult. Coloring sheets are available at the circulation desk.

The Ada Public Library and the Ada Icon have teamed up to share favorite books from readers of all ages all over the region. Now is the perfect time to check out the new library renovation (if you haven’t already) and check out some books. Check the Ada Icon frequently to see who is reading what and grab some ideas for your next reading adventure.

Ada Public Library held annual visit to Suter's

Tiptoe through the pumpkins. The Ada Public Library held its annual visit to Suter’s in Pandora on Tuesday. The event included a hayride and picking out a pumpkin to take home.

Dr Roider teaches about WWI at the library

To mark the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I, Dr. Karl Roider is teaching a course at the Ada Public Library. This week’s session, which begins at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19, will be about the USA in the war. All are welcome to attend.
His final talk on Sept. 26 will be about the end of the war. Twenty-six people attended last week’s session about trench warfare.

Attention gardeners

An Ada Public Library patron gave his lifelong collection of gardening books to the library. Some of the books about plants and landscaping will be put on shelves at the library while most will be available for a donation to the library during Harvest and Herb Fest. The library’s booth will be located in front of Exclusive Hair Design on Saturday.

Library hosts hayride and pumpkin picking

The Ada Public Library will host a hayride and pumpkin picking at Suter’s in Pandora on Tuesday, Sept. 18. All storytime groups are welcome. Songs and a story will be shared on the ride. Those interested may meet at Suter’s at 10:45 a.m.

Cost is $4 per person and covers the hayride and a pumpkin. Suter’s is located at 12200 Pandora Rd. In Pandora.
