Lima Memorial Health System provides Emergency Ready event

Learn how to save a life in just 30 minutes Join Lima Memorial Health System at Buckeye East Coffee Shop, 124 E. Buckeye for a free hands-only CPR and AED demonstration. The program will take place from 10:00-10:30 a.m.

A new AED (automated external defibrillator) will be presented to One More gym. 125 E Buckeye Ave.

All are invited to "grab a coffee and discover how quick action and simple techniques can help save a life in an emergency." No registration is required.

Due to the ongoing measles outbreaks across the country and around the globe, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention  (CDC) has updated their guidance for vaccination for Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) for individuals less than 12 months old  who are at high risk of exposure to measles.  

MMR vaccine can be given to children as young as 6 months of age who are at high risk of exposure such as during international  travel or travel to a community where an outbreak has been declared.

For their senior capstone project, Ohio Northern University finance majors participated in a service-learning project aimed at enhancing financial literacy among high school students in Ada, Kenton, and Upper Scioto Valley schools.

The interactive project involved two classroom visits, offering ONU student the opportunity to work directly with the local students.

Wednesday, April 16

The Ada Community Improvement Corporation will hold its quarterly meeting at noon on April 16 starting at the Depot. After a brief business meeting, the group will tour the Ada Water Treatment Plant with Alex Fields, Water Plant Operator in Training.

A preliminary agenda includes:

  • Election of 2025 officers
  • Election of Water Resource and Ground Water Protection committee chair
  • Committee reports: Industrial, Commerical, Community, Executive Board, Water Resource
