Photos from RIMDC recital - Stories in a dancer's soul

“Dance is the hidden language of the soul”
― Martha Graham

The Ada Icon enjoyed Rhythm in Motion Dance Centre recital over the weekend at Ada High School. It was the culmination of six months of hard word by the performers.

This year’s theme was “Stories in a Dancer’s Soul.”  We saw lots of young talent and students expressing themselves through all kinds of motion. We’d like to share some of what we watched with Icon viewers.

Here’s a series of photos of the recital by Icon photographer Bailey Bowers.

Want Ada history? You'll find it on the shelves of the public library

By Sarah Bender, Ada Icon summer intern

Nestled into the corner of the Ada Public Library is an impressive collection of material related to local history, which spans as far back as Ada’s founding in 1853.

This area of the library gives visitors interested in history and genealogy a relaxed area to learn more about the town of Ada as well as other areas of Hardin County. Preserved in filing cabinets, which are open to the public are photographs of individual Ada residents, area businesses, early photos of Ohio Northern University, and town activities and celebrations past and present.

Nice to meet you, Holden

Meet Holden Cau-fish (Caufield). He's the new guy at the Ada Public Library. In case you wonder, his name is from the character in Catcher in the Rye. You'll find him on the check out desk.
