Community Health Professionals honor long-term employees

Community Health Professionals home health and hospice recently honored 82 employees with 10 or more years of service to the organization’s three affiliated nonprofit corporations and 12 offices in Northwest and West Central Ohio.

Two Ada employees were among those recognized. They are Carrie Slone, personal care aide – Ada; and Claudia Crawford, RN, nursing supervisor – Ada.

Community Health Professionals of Ada offers home health, hospice and private duty services throughout Hardin County and surrounding area. For more information, call 419-634-7443.

Five special nighttime programs this winter-spring at ONU observatory

Like to watch the sky at night? Here are five opportunities this winter and spring to participate in special nighttime programs at the Ohio Northern University Astronomy Observatory sponsored by the ONU Astronomy Club, according to Dr. Jason Pinkney, ONU Department of Physics and Astronomy, and observatory manager.

All programs are from 8 to 10 p.m., are open to the public, and are dependant upon weather conditions.

ONU international play festival Feb. 19-21

The Ohio Northern University Department of Theatre presents the 11th International Play Festival in the Stambaugh Studio Theatre from Thursday, Feb. 19, to Saturday, Feb. 21, at 7:30 p.m. Matinee performances are scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 21, and Sunday, Feb. 22, at 2 p.m.

Just in time for Valentine's Day - Music Boosters jewelry fundraiser underway

A Ada Music Boosters' jewelry fundraiser  is now underway.

This fundraiser features jewelry products from Premier Designs. The fundraiser is made possible by consultant, former Ada music educator, and Music Feast co-founder Lynn Knoble.

This is a book sale that concludes with an open house from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 3,  at the First Baptist Church of Ada.
