Apollo Career Center plans celebration as kick-off to National Career Technical Education Month

Apollo Career Center will hold Apollopalooza on January 29, 2013, 5:30-7 p.m., to kick-off National Career and Technical Education Month, which runs through February according to Dana Dukes Norton, community relations liaison. 

Apollopalooza will showcase both the high school and adult education programs. The event is free and open to the public.

The Inn at ONU offers two special February events - reservations now accepted

Reservations are now being accepted for two special February events at The Inn at ONU. The first is a Valentine's Day food and wine pairing event planned at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 14. The second is a Friday, Feb. 22, dinner mystery theater at 7 p.m.

There is no better way to spend Valentine's Day than at a special food and wine pairing event. Several courses of food will be expertly paired with fine wines.

Morgen Stiegler and Chris Buzzelli, jazz duo, will perform during the evening. 

Ada HS Varsity Singers bring home Class C trophy from Piqua event

Ada Varsity Singers returned from competition at Piqua on Saturday with the Class C Trophy.

The Ada High School Varsity Singers lead by vocal music director, Abigail Glenn and Jonathan Lischak, director of instrumental and co-director of the Varsity Singers performed at Piqua High School’s Show Choir competition on Jan. 19.  

The Varsity Singers were awarded the Class C Champions Trophy with a first place finish in their division. The Outstanding Performer Award selected by the judges for Ada Varsity Singers was senior Erica Kier.
