What next for Ada's Zac Dysert?

Wasn't it just a few football seasons ago that Zac Dysert was tossing the ball in a purple Ada HS bulldog uniform on War Memorial Field?

On Jan. 26, the Ada standout quarterbacked the North squad at the North-South Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala.

Although the North team lost, Daniel Jeremiah of NFL.com took note of Dysert's pocket presence, saying tht he works better in chaos rather than on simple drop back plays.

Ada eighth grade science students probed these and other questions this year and presented their findings at the Jan. 24 sciene fair at Ada school. Following an afternoon of judging this year's exhibits went on public display.

According to Bill Faine, Ada junior high science teacher, between 68 and 72 projects were judged. Superiors advance to the district science fair at Ohio Northern University in March.

There's a story behind every black and white snapshot, and this photo tells an interesting Ada story. Virginia (Snare) Long, former Ada resident, now of Fostoria, shared this photo and the story behind it to The Icon.

Here's the story in Virginia's words:

"This is a picture of the Liberty Bank in Ada, taken in the late 1940s. In the front window you can see the bank vault. That was where all the money was kept. It was opened each morning and closed at the end of the day. This was the job of the cashier, at that time, Rodney Hover.
