The Lima Symphony Orchestra’s free “Patriotic Pops” concert returns to Ohio Northern University’s campus on Friday, July 2. The event will again take place on the sculpture mall east of McIntosh Center between Presser and Weber halls. This family-friendly concert features several music selections in keeping with the upcoming Independence Day holiday. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early and bring lawn chairs, blankets and their favorite picnic food to enjoy the evening.

Fundraiser has generated $87,200 in local scholarship

The Ada Lions Club annual spring mulch sale begins on Saturday, May 1, according to Chad Hays.
This is the club’s biggest fundraiser of the year, and since 2000 it has generated $87,200 in local scholarships.
Here’s some of the details:
Taking orders now at 419-634-5626 and 419-302-5987.
Proceeds from the sale go to the Lions Club scholarship fund.
Mulch may be picked up on Saturdays after 8 a.m. at Bass Trucking, 0410 State Route 81, Ada. Deliveries are available on Saturdays.
Brown mulch is $30 per Bobcat scoop; black mulch is $35 per Bobcat scoop. Delivery cost is $10 per trip in Ada and $20 per trip in the surrounding area.

Vancrest of Ada, 600 W. North Ave., announced on its Facebook that it is now able to once again accept patients for outpatient physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy services.
The announcement follows:
We are able to provide a variety of services for multiple diagnoses. We are certified in the Big and Loud program for Parkinson’s disease, vitalstim, dementia care and lymphedema.
We are also able to treat orthopedic injuries, back pain, urinary incontinence, swallowing issues and memory difficulties to name a few.
