Bulldog boys fall to Leipsic

Playing at home, the Ada High School baseball team lost 11-1 to visiting Leipsic in a Northwest Conference game Monday evening, May 2.

The Bulldogs fell to 5-11 overall and 0-6 in the NWC with the defeat. Meanwhile, the Vikings improved to 11-5 and 5-1 in NWC play with the win.

Leipsic jumped in front 4-0 after two innings and never trailed. 

Ada's Levi Sousley pitched well into the sixth inning until he was relieved.

The Vikings extended the lead to 7-1 with three runs in the top of the sixth. Isiah Camareno hit an RBI double, and Ethan Zeisloft followed with a two-run double.

Playing at home, the Ada High School varsity softball team lost to Leipsic 13-3 in a Northwest Conference matchup Monday evening, May 2.

The inexperienced Lady Bulldogs committed eight errors.

"We have to clean up the errors if we want to stay in games and win," said Ada head coach Jeff Bassitt. 

The Bulldog girls dropped to 3-12 and 1-5 in the NWC after the defeat. The Viking girls improved to 13-4 overall and 4-2 in the NWC with the six-inning win.

May 14 plant sale hosted by Hardin County Master Gardeners

The Hardin County Master Gardeners will host their 17th annual plant sale from 10:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 14. The sale will go on--rain or shine--at the Friendship Gardens of the Hardin County, located behind the old HARCO Workshop Building, 960 W Kohler Street in Kenton.

Signs will indicate where parking is available at the garden.

"To Be Heard..." Chamber Symphony concert May 6

The ONU Chamber Symphony will present their spring concert "To Be Heard..." at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 6 on the main stage of the Freed Center on the campus of Ohio Northern University.

The program features Ives’s "The Unanswered Question," Stravinsky’s "Suite for Small Orchestra," Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s "Danse Negre," Granados’s "Danze Esplanada" and concerto pieces featuring flute and soprano.
