Bulldog boys fall to Leipsic

Playing at home, the Ada High School baseball team lost 11-1 to visiting Leipsic in a Northwest Conference game Monday evening, May 2.
The Bulldogs fell to 5-11 overall and 0-6 in the NWC with the defeat. Meanwhile, the Vikings improved to 11-5 and 5-1 in NWC play with the win.
Leipsic jumped in front 4-0 after two innings and never trailed.
Ada's Levi Sousley pitched well into the sixth inning until he was relieved.
The Vikings extended the lead to 7-1 with three runs in the top of the sixth. Isiah Camareno hit an RBI double, and Ethan Zeisloft followed with a two-run double.
Ada plated its lone run in the bottom of the sixth. Kaine Fisher singled and the Bulldogs eventually scored on an RBI single to left-center field.
Leipsic out-hit Ada, 7-5. Mason Brandt earned the pitching win for the Vikings.

Ada plays at Ft. Jennings (5-6) Wednesday in a non-league encounter. The Bulldogs then host Spencerville (2-13, 2-2 NWC) in a league game Thursday.
