Leiber Trust auction of personal property on April 16

At 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2021, a public auction will take place at 10250 Hillville  Rd. Bluffton, OH.

Owner is Leiber Trust, Angela Palte, trustee. The auction will include furniture and household goods, as well as a pickup truck, automobile, boat, log splitter and hunting ammo.

Alert for commercial and backyard poultry owners

Mark A. Badertscher, Agriculture and Natural Resources Educator for OSU Extension Hardin County reports that Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) was detected in a backyard poultry flock in Franklin County. HPAI has also been confirmed in poultry flocks in Kentucky, Indiana, Virginia, New York, Maine, Michigan and Delaware.  

HPAI spreads quickly and can be fatal to flocks and devastating to poultry owners. ODA is urging poultry owners to intensify biosecurity and best management practices: 

Burger leads Women's Golf to victory at Bluffton Spring Classic

Freshman Amelia Burger (Centerville) won Medalist honors and the Ohio Northern women's golf team won the team title of the Bluffton Spring Classic on Saturday and Sunday at Hidden Creek Golf Course.

The Polar Bears (60-12 overall) carded a 336-324—660 on the 5602-yard, par-72 course to defeat second place Bluffton by 16 strokes.

Six ONU golfers finished in the top 10 in the 44-women field, led by Burger with a 17-over par 82-79—161.

Women's golf leads field after first day of Bluffton Classic

The Ohio Northern women's golf team was in first place out of six teams after the first day of the Bluffton Spring Classic on Saturday at Hidden Creek Golf Course.

The Polar Bears (55-12 overall) carded a 336 on the 5602-yard, par-72 course and lead Mount Saint Joseph by eight strokes and Bluffton by 11 strokes.

Sophomore Grace Honigford (West Chester/Lakota East) and freshman Amelia Burger (Centerville) are tied for second out of 44 golfers with 10-over par 82s.
