Bird's-eye view of waste water plant construction

Have you had the chance to fly over Ada recently? 

Probobably not. So, the Icon presents three photos of Ada's waste water treatment plant currently under construction. The photos are from the village website.

Ada's waste water treatment plant construction project is on East Lincoln.  The images here are aerial photos provided by the contractor.  

The construction part of the project started commence in 2014, but property acquisition is under way and designs are being created now.

Hardin 4-H and Ada Tech Wizards put on a demonstration Thursday at ReStore

Hardin county 4-H will demonstrate its new 3-D printer with its 4-H afterschool program from 4 to 5 p.m.,Thursday, Dec. 18,  at ReStore Community Center, Ada.

This afterschool is called Ada Tech Wizards, involving fourth, fifth and sixth grade students, and is funded through the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) office. 

The $20,000 grant helps local Hardin County youth learn about current technology through STEM-based afterschool programming.

Standout Graphics is Ada Icon's newest advertiser

Standout Graphics, owned by Gideon Fisher, Bluffton, is the newest Ada Icon advertiser. He works with clients from his home. 

Fisher was a visual communication design major at The Ohio State University and has 12 years of design experience.

Village Voice: 2015 recycling calendars now available

The long awaited 2015 Waste Management recycling calendars have arrived in the Village Water Office.

Residents who have their refuse collected by Waste Management as a part of the Village contract also have recycling collection available to them. As in the past, the recycling is collected every other week, whereas the refuse is collected every week. Many residents have come to rely on the calendars, which are printed and sent to the Village by Waste Management each year.
