Robert A. Williams, Jr., 93, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021, at 1:09 a.m. at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born on March 1, 1927, in Alger, Ohio, to the late Robert and Edna (Archer) Williams, Sr. On June 19, 1955, Robert married Mary A. Evans and she survives in Alger.
Robert retired from Procter & Gamble, where he was the first one hired at the Lima Plant. He was a founder and 50-year-member of the Northwest Ohio Tractor Pullers, where he helped to start the National Tractor Pull in Bowling Green, Ohio.
Active in Ohio Child Conservation League for 52 years, holding many offices

Joan M. “Joni” Owen, 78, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021, at Kindred Hospital Lima.
She was born on Oct. 24,1942 in LaFayette, Ohio, to Robert Chester and M. Imogene (Weaver) Long who preceded her in death. On June 12, 1960, Joan married Myron F. Owen and he preceded her in death on Aug. 17, 2006.
Joni retired from Allen East School District, where she was a bus driver. She also helped to farm the family farm. She was a member of the LaFayette Congregational Christian Church.

Dorothy Marie Rayl, 81, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021, at 5:40 p.m. at Vancrest of Ada.
She was born on March 20, 1939, in Bluffton, Ohio, to the late Lester and Kathryn (Morehead) Ackerman. On June 15, 1957, Dorothy married Gerald Rayl who survives in Ada.
Dorothy is also survived by her two sons and daughter: Kevin (Karen) Rayl, Rodney (Wendy) Rayl and Rebecca Rayl all of Ada; and three grandchildren: Andrew Rayl, Jacob Rayl and Eli Esguerra.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Ackerman.
