Weekend Doctor: Pain Awareness Month

Why is Pain Awareness Important?
With an increased focus on pain awareness this month, pain management care team members are dedicated to educating the community on the impact of chronic pain. The purpose of highlighting pain awareness is to instill a greater understanding among healthcare professionals, individuals, and families who are struggling with pain management. The same applies to the business community, legislators, and the general public, as pain is a serious public health issue.

ADA __ Playing at home, the Ada High School football team posted one of its best wins in years with a 35-20 triumph over solid Blanchard Valley Conference foe McComb on a warm Friday night, September 20.

Ada held the Panthers scoreless in the second half and scored 14 points after intermission to pull away from a nip-and-tuck battle. 

Bulldog boys soccer loss to 1st-place Eagles

FINDLAY __ The visiting Ada High School boys soccer team lost 9-1 at traditional power Liberty-Benton in a North Central Ohio Soccer Association road game Thursday evening, September 19.

Ada fell to 7-4 overall and 0-3 in the NCOSA standings with the defeat.

The Eagles improved to 10-1 overall after the victory, and the Eagles are tied for first place in the NCOSA standings with Van Buren at 3-0.

L-B jumped to a 3-0 lead after scoring at the 27, 24 and 19-minute marks.

Senior Logan Jolliff netted the lone Ada goal in the first half with 12 minutes left to cut the lead to 3-1.

Harvest & Herb Fest organizers issue special request: no dogs except service dogs

Due to community concerns and requests, we ask that dogs (except service dogs) remain at home.

We understand that many of you love bringing your furry friends, but for everyone's comfort and safety, we’re making this request.

38th annual Harvest & Herb Festival is September 21

The Ada Area Chamber of Commerce will host the 38th annual Harvest & Herb Festival on Saturday, Sept. 21--filling downtown Ada from Montford Ave to College with craft and food vendors, a parade, a H&H queen competition, the Healthwise mobile clinic and a Corvette club. A can't miss opportunity!

Bulldog golfers win tri-match

BLUFFTON __ The Ada High School golf team swept a triangular match Wednesday, September 18, at the Bluffton Golf Club.

Ada edged Riverdale 203-205, and decisively beat Pandora-Gilboa 203-247.

The Bulldogs finished 10-4 in dual and tri-matches this season, their best such record in years.

Sophomore Brody Rister shot a 48 to lead Ada and finish second overall. Sophomore Lawson Klingler carded a career-best round of 49 to shoot second for the Bulldogs.

Senior Ethan Lawrence posted a 52, and junior Sam Crawford registered a round of 54.

Freshman Grady Morgan added a 66.
