McDonald’s in Ada will see a major interior remodeling starting on Monday, Dec. 3. The lobby will be closed for three weeks but the drive thru will remain open during the change. Target date for completion is Dec. 21.
A kiosk will be installed inside where customers may order and pay with a credit card for their purchase. Cash registers will remain for those who do not wish to use the kiosk.
Other interior changes include:
* new interior design
* new seating
* new painting
* new flooring
The exterior will remain the same, including the drive thru area and parking. The local restaurant will continue to have a patio.
Santa will be there. So will the Grinch. There will also be live reindeer, a live nativity and choir and lots more.
Merry on Main launches Ada's holiday season celebration. The 6th annual event is from 5 to 7:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 3, in downtown Ada. The event is sponsored by Ada Area Chamber of Commerce.

Preschool story times continue on Monday nights at the Alger Public Library at 6:30 p.m.. On Nov. 27 Miss Stacey will host a special pajama story time. Kids are asked to come in their pajamas and bring their favorite blanket. Sessions on Dec. 3 and 10 will be about the Christmas holidays. Story times usually include books, games, crafts, snacks, and other activities.
The monthly free movie night at the Alger Library is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 30 beginning at 6:30 p.m. The featured film is "Incredibles 2" and is rated PG. A snack is included and everyone is welcome.
December 1904 the foundation for the Rail Road tower to pneumatically operate protective gates at Main and Johnson was started. The tower was torn down in 1960.
