Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018, is proclaimed as a National Day of Mourning in remembrance of former President George H.W. Bush, according to information from the Ohio News Media Association.
The United States Postal Service has announced that out of respect for the 41st President of the United States and to be consistent with a Presidential Proclamation, the USPS will suspend regular mail deliveries, retail services and administrative office activity on Dec. 5.

The Ohio Northern Symphony and ONU Wind Orchestra will perform at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9, at the Freed Center. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $5 for students and children.
The ONU Symphony will present "Tragedy and Triumph," featuring Brahms' Tragic Overture, Verdi's Triumphal March from Aida, Ken Davies' Strings Ablaze and Forsyth's Viola Concerto in G minor.
The ONU Wind Orchestra pays homage to the ceremonial kindling of light during the holidays and the winter solstice through a beautiful and musically illuminating program titled “Season of Light.”

Wrestlers from 12 schools in four states competed in the 38th annual Wrestling Invitational from 9 a.m. until late afternoon on Saturday at the ONU Sports Center.
The fieldhouse was completely covered with mats as multiple matches took place simultaneously throughout the day during the double-elimination event.
Let’s admit it, six hours of watching a wrestling tournament is a long time.

Breakfast with Santa, always a sold out event at The Inn, was held Saturday morning.
It’s become a family tradition for many families. Santa listens to wish lists from the youngsters, gives them a present, and has his photo taken with the children. And, all enjoyed a delicious meal.
Mason Stombaugh, 5, and brother Jayden, 11, tell Santa their wish list. The children are the sons of Ashley and Dave Stombaugh of Wapakoneta.
