Ada first graders perform Pajama Party"! musical on Thursday

It's a "Pajama Party!"

And you are invited.

It's time for bed...time to pick up our toys, take a bath, brush our teeth and put our PJs on to end the day.

But wait! What's that noise I hear under my bed? Where's my teddy bear?Come join the Ada 1st graders to see how bedtime can really be a blast.

Performances are Thursday, April 21, at 12:45 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the school auditorium.

 

Nationally recognized composer to conduct ONU Spring Band Festival April 24

The Ohio Northern University Department of Music will present the 41st Annual Spring Band Festival on Sunday, April 24, at 4 p.m. in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts’ Biggs Theatre. The performance will feature a world-renowned guest artist, the Ohio Honors High School Honors Band and the Ohio Northern University Symphonic Band.

Ohio Northern Music Department Wind Orchestra concert Friday

Ohio Northern University’s Freed Center for the Performing Arts presents an evening of music featuring the ONU Wind Orchestra on Friday, April 22, at 7:30 p.m. The concert will serve as the opening performance for the 41st Annual ONU Spring Band Festival. Festival guest composer and conductor, Patrick Burns, will conduct his well-known masterwork, “Soundtrack.”

37 members attend Town and Country Creators 4-H meeting

Fifty years. Here's the Ada High School National Honor Society from the 1965-66 school year. Who do you recognize?

Easter House B&B owners first place winners in Bluffton business plan competition

Owners of Easter House Bed and Breakfast, Ada, are winners of the Emerging Business Division of this year's Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs business plan competition, according to Brendon Matthews, BCE board president.

Owners Amy Eddings and Mark Hilan of Easter House, 508 N. Main St., Ada, will receive $4,000 over the next 18 months in business start-up assistance from BCE. 

Cash awards of $6,000 were awarded this year. Prize money and gifts-in-kind went to five competitors. Winners were announced at BCE’s business expo at The Centre, Bluffton, in late March.
