Ada begins process of becoming Special Energy District

Members of Ada’s village council granted Mayor David Retter the authority to start forming an Energy Special Improvement District so that the village, Ohio Northern University, local businesses and apartment complexes can apply for low-interest loans for energy conservation projects.

What a difference a week of warm weather makes. 

Soil temperatures are warming up and fields are starting to dry.  Sprayers and fertilizer trucks are starting to roll.  Spring planting season is almost upon us, providing the rain forecast later this week doesn’t slow things down. 

It is still early, and for northwestern Ohio, the probability for optimal yields occurs when corn is planted between April 25 and May 10.

ONU hosts NCPA legislative reception with State Sen. David Burke

Ohio Northern University welcomed state Sen. David Burke to a National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) Legislative Reception on April 14.

More than 50 individuals attended this year’s event, including students; faculty; Dan DiBiasio, ONU president; Steven J. Martin, dean of the College of Pharmacy; and representatives from the Ohio Pharmacists Association (OPA).

During the reception, students spoke directly with Burke and executives from the OPA, asking questions and discussing their involvement in pharmacy legislation.

It's time for bed...time to pick up our toys, take a bath, brush our teeth and put our PJs on to end the day.

But wait! What's that noise I hear under my bed? Where's my teddy bear?Come join the Ada 1st graders to see how bedtime can really be a blast.

Performances are Thursday, April 21, at 12:45 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the school auditorium.
