ONU sends six athletes to NCAA DIII track nationals

The Ohio Northern men's and women's track and field teams will be sending six student athletes to compete at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa.

Senior Kristine Wagner, juniors Lucas Shumate and Allie Gast, sophomores Matt Molinaro and Emily Richards, and freshman Maddy Reed will represent Ohio Northern in their respective events.

Wagner will be competing in the heptathlon for ONU after qualifying last weekend at the Gregory Invitational with a new school record of 4,399 points. She will be competing Thursday beginning at 11:00 am (CST).

Town and Country Creators 4H Club

The Town and Country Creators 4H Club held their regular meeting on Monday May 23, 2016 6pm at St. Johns Evangelical Church in Kenton. Club President, Devry Moore, presided at the meeting. Roll Call began with the question, “What is your favorite leisure activity” with 26 members, 8 advisors, 2 guests for a total of 36 in attendance.

These students-turned-gardeners are just posing for the Ada Icon shutterbug.

Actually, they worked hard at the Depot Park on a sunny Monday morning as part of Senior Community Service Day-digging, raking, weeding, cutting, trimming--accomplishing much spring maintenance at the park.

Several hundred tour Vancrest of Ada during Sunday's grand opening

Several hundred people toured Vancrest Nursing Home during a pleasant Sunday afternoon in Ada.

Here, visitors sit in one of the beautifully appointed dining areas to enjoy a buffet following a tour of the new $6 million facility.
